Tesla opens new V4 Superchargers in Norway near a very cool location
Tesla Superchargers are usually located in the parking lots of convenience stores, shopping malls, gas stations, or sometimes in lots of their own.
However, a new V4 Supercharger location in Norway took advantage of perhaps the coolest location yet, as the automaker built its latest piles in the country near a beautiful walking trail, giving owners something new to do while their car charges.
Tesla has unloaded a suite of entertainment options for drivers to use while they gain range at Superchargers. Everything from streaming platforms like Netflix to gaming to some Supercharger locations offering things like a coffee bar and apparel.
The new location in Norway is in Rena, a town that sits between Oslo and Trondheim. While there are coffee shops and retail locations located less than five minutes from the new Superchargers, an even shorter commute is required to arrive at the River Glomma, which has a walking trail and beautiful scenes of nature surrounding:
The images come from the Charging Project Development Lead for Norway and Iceland, Joakim Sveli, who described the new Supercharger location and its surroundings in a post:
“A new, spacious Tesla Supercharger powered up its 20 V4 stalls last week in Rena, Norway – offering travelers a reliable supplement to the north-south route 3 between Oslo and Trondheim. 4 minutes walk to shops and cafés, but less than a minute to the serene surroundings of Norway’s longest river Glomma. Perfect for walking your dogs, kids, mother-in-law, or taking a quick run while charging.”
This is the latest Supercharger station in Norway, and there are currently 136 total locations in the country, according to the Tesla Supercharger website.
